What to expect when you attend an appointment:
- It is likely that the therapist will need you to remove some or most of your clothing (dependent upon the condition to be treated) in order to provide assessment and treatment - please attend the appointment wearing suitable clothing and be prepared for this.
- Close contact - in order for the therapist to assess and treat your condition it is likely that the therapist will need to have close contact with you.
- The therapist will discuss your assessment and treatment options with you. It is essential that you discuss any issues with the therapist if you are uncomfortable with the assessment or treatment.
- Please bring suitable clothing i.e. shorts/swimming costume and towel.
- Please bring a carer with you if you require assistance with washing, dressing or using the toilet facilities.
- Please bring a list of your current medication.
Booking your appointment
A referral from your GP is not required to book a consultation appointment. We require you to complete a simple questionnaire on both your medical history and details of your injury below. Answers to these questions will be used by the therapist in determining best advice and treatment as appropriate and will remain confidential.
