What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapists specialise in human movement and function and treat a wide range of conditions. Physiotherapy does not have to the treatment for injury that can be used as a means to injury prevention. The aims of physiotherapists are to restore function, normal movement, alleviate pain and improve strength and physical well-being. A wide range of treatments including exercise, heat, electrotherapy, manual techniques, hydrotherapy and acupuncture. Physiotherapists are trained to assess, diagnose and treat conditions and promote health.
